Amy comes to the Inclind team permanently after several years of working as a contract web/ux designer. She describes herself as a visual problem solver and works to successfully interpret a client’s brand and messaging to its intended audience in a delightful way.
Over her career, Amy has served as the creative side of web development teams designing solutions for industries including small-to-medium businesses, nonprofits, government agencies and healthcare organizations. She served as lead designer on projects for clients including the U.S. Naval Academy, NIH, World Bank, Alliance of Community Health Plans (ACHP) and locally for Delaware Coop, Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Dover Federal Credit Union and Tunnell Companies to name a few. She has expertise in discovery, strategy, site architecture, design and content creation for large-scale web projects including applications, dashboard experiences, eCommerce and digital marketing hubs.
She started her career in television as a field producer and writer on the political beat in Washington DC and went on to produce The Standard Deviants, an educational video series and PBS television show which aired briefly in the late ‘90s and was termed “the Sesame Street for adults.” She also produced videos for clients including the Naval Media Center and PBSYou. In the early 2000’s, Amy moved into marketing with a focus on web and print design and served as an advertising agency art director and tourism marketing manager before launching her own boutique design studio where she helped many small businesses build their brands.
She holds a BA in Mass Communication from Towson University and a MA in graphic design from Savannah College of Art and Design. She also serves as co-founder/director of the Raymond A. Wood Foundation, whose mission is to provide quality-of-life support for survivors of childhood brain tumors and their families.
Her spare time is spent with husband Shawn and son Alex, tinkering with her home décor, reading mindless novels and enjoying life in Ocean City, MD.
