Star Roses
Strategically develop a dynamic, robust consumer site
Star Roses & Plants came to us looking for a team of Drupal experts to help “strategically develop a dynamic, robust consumer site.” Ah, yeeeaaah! It’s been a fabulous partnership ever since.
Challenge
Starrosesandplant.com had a slew of issues that were negatively affecting overall performance and functionality. They needed us to rebuild their existing site into a fully functioning site to support their unique business model. The core issue was the inventory catalog which was driven by ubercart. There was a significant drop in SEO traffic, degraded site search results and administrator challenges.
Solution
We upgraded the site so the user can enter their zip code and the site will display a map with pins for the closest retail locations where they can purchase Star Roses and Plants. This includes tens of thousands of stores: not only major retailers like Home Depot and Lowes but also smaller independent retailers.
We streamlined the site registration so that now media/press users, distributors and retailers can register to add themselves to the store locator and access customized content. The site originally had a convoluted multi-step process for adding retail locations to the store finder, but we consolidated the process into a one-step registration.
