The Challenge:

The City of Rehoboth came to us to update their site given the availability of the New Drupal 9 Platform. The Site (at the time) was using Drupal 7 as the Back-End CMS, with some outdated systems that did not fully engage the capabilities of a seamless Front-End Experience for a Visitor or User of the site. With an extensive library of content including: City Ordinances, Media, Policies, Tourism Information, Departmental Documents and much more to service the Community, Residents, Businesses and Visitors; we would have to be spot on with Migration of Content across Platforms.

Our Solution:

Our Team at Inclind rallied together to ensure that the new and improved City of Rehoboth Site would encompass all original aspects with a much more modernized approach to the Back-End as well as an enhanced and optimized experiences for Visitors. In order to successfully complete this Project, our Back-End Team created a Custom Migration Script to automate migration of content for a much quicker result while working to Upgrade the CMS in tandem. While the overall theme was being kept, any updates and upgrades can potentially cause issues. With that being said, our Team dedicated time to Test, QA and Review both the Content, Usability and Appearance of the Site. Testing other aspects of the Site such as ADA Compliance, Performance and SEO all assist in outlining items that can be improved to meet and exceed standards.

The Result:

The City of Rehoboth was able to debut their newly upgraded site without any interruption to visitors just in time for the Holiday Season. Having the site ready for an influx of Visitors due to the amount of seemingly endless activities was integral in not only showcasing the improvements to the site overall but helpful for the staff to really highlight what the City of Rehoboth has to offer throughout the year (even when it's not Summer!).
